William 'Eugene' Scott
William "Eugene" Scott (Gene or Scottie) of Dundas Manor in Winchester, formerly of RR 3 Mountain, passed away on April 22, 2005 at Winchester District Memorial Hospital. He was 79.
He is survived by his wife Olive Elizabeth May (Betty) Simzer whom he married on May 24, 1952 in Heckston. He was born on March 17, 1926 in Mountain Township to the late Ernest Edward Scott and the late Bertha Reynolds. He was predeceased by his step-mother Mary Pearl McIntyre. He is survived by his son Preston Eugene Scott. He was brother of Bert (Mabel) of Smiths Falls, and the late Ed (Dorothy) of RR 3 Mountain. He was uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He was a member of the United Church who was previously employed for 32 years at Mel Johnston's Chevrolet Oldsmobile.
A private family committal was held with Rev. Blair Paterson officiating. Cremation with interment followed at South Gower Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Byers Funeral Home in South Mountain.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
