Marjorie Jean Chamberlain
Marjorie Jean Chamberlain (nee Crummy) of Winchester passed
away June 29, 2006 at the Ottawa General Hospital. She was 74.
She was born on July 13, 1931 in Jasper, Ont. to the late James
Charles Stewart Crummy and the late Emma Jane Gibson. She was
sister of the late Bill Crummy (Shirley). She was wife to the
late Clarence "Clare" Leslie Chamberlain, whom she married
on Sept. 11, 1954 in Winchester.
She is survived by children: Greg (Leeann), and Gary (Marie-Josée);
grandchildren: Jessica (Adam), Sarah (Mark), Duncan, and Rebecca
Chamberlain. She was the sister-in-law of Evelyn, Velda, Doris,
Lois, Donald, and Cora, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She previously worked as an operator for Bell Canada. She was
a member of Winchester Chapter #310 O.E.S., and a member of the
United Church of Canada.
The funeral was held in the chapel of Byers Funeral Home on July
4 with Rev. Angus McDonald officiating, followed by interment
of cremated remains at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville.
