Mabel Susanna Crowder (Morris)
Mabel Susanna Crowder (Morris) (nee Jackson) passed away peacefully
at Dundas Manor on Dec. 22, 2006. She was 97.
She was the beloved wife of the late Floyd Crowder and the late
Everett Morris. She was the loving mother of Evangeline (Ken)
Okum of Pembroke, Joe (Marion) Morris of Mountain, Carman (Marlene)
Morris of Mountain, and the late Vanamber Morris. She was the
cherished grandma of 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was the dear sister of Bev (Ruth) Jackson, Muriel (the late
Lester) Barkley, Warren (Vivian) Jackson, Evelyn Jackson, and
was predeceased by siblings Myrtle, Lucinda, Lula, and Charles.
She was born in Mountain Township on Jan. 10, 1909 to the late
John Jackson and Estella Cass. She previously lived in Inkerman
and was a member of the Inkerman Wesleyan Church and the Winchester
Wesleyan Church.
The funeral was held at Inkerman Wesleyan Church on Dec. 28 with
Rev. Anita Goulet officiating. Interment followed at Maple Ridge
Cemetery. Pall bearers were Danny Vanderveen, Chris Robinson,
Steven Morris, Michael Morris, Tom Morris, and Geren Morris. Arrangements
were entrusted to Byers Funeral Home in South Mountain.
