Harold Frederick Floyd
Harold Frederick Floyd of Kemptville passed
away in Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Mon., July 3,
2006 He was 80.
He was born on Nov., 23, 1925 in South Gower Township to the late
Fred Floyd and the late Edith Wylie. He is survived by his brothers
Keith and Mervyn.
He was employed by the railway and worked there for 30 years.
During the last few years of his employment with CPP, he worked
on a part time basis as Assistant Road Master. He also worked
on the family farm.
He had many interests. He enjoyed restoring gas engines, and would
spend many hours on these projects. He liked to attend auction
sales and plowing matches. He was also a good cook, and enjoyed
making pickles.
Visitation was held at Grant Brown Funeral Home Rolston Chapel
in Kemptville on July 5. The funeral service was held in the chapel
of the funeral home on July 6 with Rev. Bev Lindsey officiating.
Jean Newans was the organist. Interment followed at South Gower
Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Kevin Hill, Carl Payne, Robert Brown, Bill
Brown, Richard Strike, and Andy Porter.
Memorial donations to the Kemptville District Hospital were gratefully
received.
