Cecile Joanisse
Cecile Joanisse of Winchester passed away at Winchester District
Memorial Hospital on Dec. 22, 2006. She was 77.
She is survived by her husband Richard Joanisse and is remembered
by children Tresa Herbert of Ottawa, Rick (Helen Picard) of Winchester,
Raymond (Beth) of Winchester, Ronald (Connie) of Ottawa, Gisel
Joanisse of Red Deer, Alta., and Nicole (Robert) Goulet of Ottawa.
She was sister to Andy Laurin of Toronto and Paul Laurin of Ottawa.
She was predeceased by daughters Susan and Mary Joanisse, sons
Jean-Guy and Robert, a sister Lillian Bourgeon, and a brother
Maurice. She will be fondly remembered by 15 grandchildren and
four great-grandsons. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Cecile was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother,
who will be fondly remembered for her good sense of humour. She
enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and camping. She had lived in Winchester
for eight years and was a life-long resident of the Ottawa area.
She was born in Ottawa on June 18, 1929 to the late Andrew and
Rose Laurin (nee Lacosse).
Friends called at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in Williamsburg
on Dec. 28 before the funeral, which was held at the funeral home
with Rev. Bruce North officiating. Interment of cremated remains
will be at Notre Dame Cemetery in Ottawa.
