Kirkby, Hilda Alberta Nee White
Born in Lords Mills, Ont.
Jan. 29, 1917 to Aug. 5, 2006

Peacefully after fighting a lengthy illness at the Kemptville District Hospital on Aug. 5, 2006. Hilda in her 90th year of Mountain Ont. Beloved wife of the late Joel Kirkby, loving mother and best friend of Wendy Hyndman (Murray) of Mountain, cherished Nana of Jeffrey Hyndman (Catherine), and Jamie Hyndman, and Great Nana of Chayce and Paige Hyndman. She was the very dear friend of Lola Farrell, Ivy Coleman, and the late Bessie Locke. She was an active member of the Mountain Township Seniors and an avid euchre player.

By Hilda's request cremation; visitation from 11 am to 1 pm on Tues., Aug. 8 followed by a memorial service at 1 pm at the Buyers Funeral Home in South Mountain. Following the service there was a private committal at South Grower Cemetery.

By family request, donations may be made to the Kemptville District Hospital or the Kidney Foundation.
Wendy wishes to thank Dr. David Blaine, Dr. Leonard, and all the nurses and caregivers at the Kemptville District Hospital for their wonderful care and comfort shown to Mother; including all the houskeeping girls, kitchen staff, and volunteer students. A special thank you to Connie Beggs for her many kind visits to Mother while at home and in the hospital. Everyone's kindness was overwhelming.
