Bessie Lora Locke

Bessie Lora Locke (nee McQuaig) of South Mountain passed away at the Montfort Hospital on March 24, 2006. She was 85.
She was predeceased by her husbands Cecil Locke and Harry Kenney. She was born on May 25, 1920 in Hulbert to the late Herbert McQuaig and Laura Mellan. She is survived by her son Wayne (Linda) Kenny, her granddaughters Cheryl (Tim) Montroy, and Angela (Mark) Simser. She was the sister-in-law of Dorothy McQuaig, and Enid McQuaig. She was predeceased by her siblings Lula, Ethel, Dorothy, Percy, Stanley, and her twin brother Bert.
She was a housewife and homemaker, and a member of the United Church in Heckston.
The funeral was held in the chapel of the Byers Funeral Home in South Mountain on March 27 with Rev. Blair Paterson officiating. Interment will be at South Gower Cemetery in the spring.
Pallbearers were Tim Montroy, Mark Simser, Dean Latourell, Donald Levere, David Scharf, and Trevor Dillabough.
