Olive McIntosh

Olive Hermina McIntosh (nee Baldwin) passed away on April 28, 2006 at Woodland Villa, Long Sault. She was 92.
Born on March 29, 1914, she often told stories of the great Nation River floods and of learning to drive in a Model T Ford with side curtains.
Raised and educated in the Inkerman area, her move to Dundela as a new bride brought her to the original McIntosh Apple Farm. After many years of picking and packing the famous apples, she retired to Morrisburg and became the guardian of the many McIntosh papers, pictures, and other memorabilia. In her role as "Keeper of the Apple" she has been interviewed by and provided documents to many authors and commentators including her favourite newscaster "Max", and many individuals from around the world searching for their "apple roots."
She will be greatly missed by her children Nancy McIntosh (Greg Gooch) of Long Sault and Harvey McIntosh of Mariatown, grandchildren Samantha English of Florida, Alissa English (Jeff Giesler) of Calgary, Lezley (Sean) McCann of Morrisburg, and John McIntosh (Katherine Peters) of Ottawa, great-grandchild Jackson McCann, and sisters-in-law Jean and Doris Baldwin, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Samuel Allen McIntosh, dear brothers Raymond "Joe", Ralph, and Harold, an infant sister, sister-in-law Bonnie Baldwin, sister and brother-in-law Jack and Margaret Dowell of Brockville, and her parents Earl and Hattie Baldwin (nee Fetterly).
Friends called at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in Williamsburg on May 2. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on May 3 at 11 am with Rev. Jean Udall officiating, followed by interment at Dundela Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Dave Baldwin, Kevin Baldwin, John McIntosh, Sean McCann, Joel Thompson, and Lester McInnis.
