Victor Joseph Albert Moss
Victor Joseph Albert Moss passed away peacefully at Woodlawn
Villa in Long Sault, on April 23, 2006. He was 93.
A resident of Chesterville, he was born on Oct. 21, 1912. As
a young man he worked on his farm and later worked for Chesterville
District Co-op. He was predeceased by his wife Rose Gauthier
on Sept. 11, 1994, daughter Cecile Sissons in 1983, daughter-in-law
Toni Moss in 1992, son-in-law Ron Bell in 1998, three sisters:
Alice in infancy, Ellen White, and Irene Heasley; and four brothers:
Henry, Edmund, Arthur, and Ernest.
He was the cherished father of Rene (Phyllis) of Chesterville,
Alice (Robert Laushway) of Prescott, Roger (Sharon) of Chesterville,
Pauline (Frank Scheepers) of Winchester, Lorraine Bell of BC,
and Helen (Grant Yoxon) of Orleans.
He will be fondly remembered by his 10 grandsons, 8 granddaughters
and 17 great-grandchildren. He is survived by three sisters, Blanche
Charlebois of Elliott Lake, Olive Heasley of Finch, and Jean Indoe
of Kitchener, and three brothers Harvey (Eileen) of Cobden, Gerald
(Hazel) of Hull, and John (Mary) of Nepean.
The funeral mass was held on April 28 at St. Mary's Church in
Chesterville, followed by interment at St. Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers
were his grandsons, Jeffrey and Kevin Laushway, Jim and Bryan
Moss, Frank Jr. and Scott Scheepers, Adam Moss, Jason Bell, and
Ian Yoxon. Absent was Douglas Sissons.
In memoriam donations to St. Mary's Memorial Fund or a charity
of choice appreciated.
