Karen Jane Reid (née Moffatt) passed away in hospital after a brief illness, with her family by her side on Mon., Dec. 11, 2006. She was 50.
She was the much loved Mom of Lisa (Patrick Siew) and Gord (Melissa Cowling). She is survived by their father Allen Reid. She was the proud grandmother to Larra-Jane Rose Siew. She was the loving lifetime companion of Doug Rowan. She was the dear daughter of Shirley (née Cook) and the late James Moffatt. She was the loving sister and best friend to Jim Moffatt (Nicole). Nancy Neuman (Nelson), and Duana Moffatt (Rob Thompson). She was the cherished Godmother to Rebecca Neuman. She is also survived by Ed and Ann Rowan, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Kim Olive (Jamie), Greg Rowan, Debra Wells (Cordell Roberts), and Wanda Rowan (Len Burke), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes (403 Richmond Rd. at Roosevelt) in Ottawa on Wed., Dec. 13 from 7 to 9 pm and on Thurs., Dec. 14 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, and on Fri., Dec. 15 from 11 am until the time of service in the chapel at 1 pm. Cremation will follow.
