Ruth Winters

Ruth Winters (nee Johnston) of Finch, passed away at Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Feb. 6, 2006, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was 64.
She was the beloved wife of William Winters. She was the loved mother of Robert Winters (Holly-Ann) and Shelly Carriere (Sam), all of Cornwall. She was born July 19, 1941 in Winchester to Willow (Scott) Johnston of Winchester and the late Roy Johnston. She was the dear sister of Thelma Hansma (Henry) of Morrisburg, and Donald Johnston (Donna) of Carleton Place. She will be sadly missed by two grandchildren, Keri and Nancy, and by one great-grandchild, Dawson.
To honor Ruth's wishes, her visitation and funeral service were private. Committal service will be held at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Winchester District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
