Wm. Garnet Edgerton

Wm. Garnet Edgerton of Inkerman passed away Jan. 23, 2007 at the Civic Campus of Ottawa Hospital. He was 63.
He was born in Chesterville on June 20, 1943 to the late Garnet Knowles Edgerton and the late Irma Ida Richmyre. He was the husband of Joyce Johnston whom he married on May 31, 1986 in Morrisburg. He is survived by daughter Tracie Lee Barkley (Tim), and step-children Brenda Lee Gray (Mike), and Michael Hess. He was the grandfather of Brooke and Morgan Barkley; and Dylan Johnston Gray. He was the brother-in-law of Lorne Johnston (Linda), and Lee Johnston (Marion). He was predeceased by his in-laws Walter and Myrna Johnston, and by brother-in-law Glenn Johnston.
He was a Highway Equipment Operator #2 with the Ontario Ministry of Transportation. He was a member of Inkerman Wesleyan Church.
The funeral was held at Byers Funeral Home in South Mountain on Jan. 27, 2007 with Rev. Anita Goulet officiating, followed by interment at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville. Pallbearers were Dan McMarrin, Rene Dumoulin, Don Crowder, Freeman Acres, Donald Jackson, and Keith Blaine.
