Carrie Leah Guy

Carrie Leah Guy (nee Baker) of Prescott passed away on July 25, 2007 at the Wellington House in Prescott. She was 101.
She was born on March 3, 1906 on VanCamp Rd. in Mountain Township to the late Fred Baker and the late Carrie Levere. She was the wife of Lorne Guy whom she married on Oct. 4, 1933 in Inkerman. She was the mother of Mary Render (the late Jack), Don (Reta), Carolyn Dawson (Bob), Robert (Betty), and the late Patti Allison. She was the grandmother of 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. She was predeceased by her sister Ellen Reid, and step-sister Louise Baker. She will be sadly missed by her extended family including Mae Walter, Edna Patterson, and was predeceased by Annie Francis, and Ellen Walter.
She was a homemaker and a registered nurse. She was a member of Inkerman United Church and the Inkerman UCW.
The funeral was held in the chapel of the Byers Funeral Home on July 28 with Rev. Blair Paterson officiating, followed by interment at Maple Ridge Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Chris Guy, Andy Dawson, Glenn Dawson, Walter Patterson, Gerald Patterson, and Lloyd Patterson.
