Gordon Kenneth Holmes

Gordon Kenneth Holmes "Joe" of Winchester, a licensed barber and retired dairy farmer, passed away July 7, 2007 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. He was 85.
He was born on June 16, 1922 in Winchester to the late Samuel Holmes and the late Rita McIntosh. He was husband to the late Bea Fader whom he married in Reids Mills Sept. 17, 1946. He was the father of the late Gord, Joan, Roger, Ronald, Laurie, Paul, and Marc. He was the grandfather of 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He is survived and predeceased by many brothers and sisters.
There was a private family service, followed by interment.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Byers Funeral Home in South Mountain.
Donations may be made to the Winchester District Memorial Hospital or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
