Annie Isobel James
Annie Isobel James (nee Stinson) passed away
peacefully at the Township of Osgoode Care Centre in Metcalfe
on Jan. 19, 2007. She was 94.
She was the beloved wife of the late Carman James of Russell.
She was the much loved mother of Phyllis (Doug Lyster) of Grand
Cache, Alta., Freda (Joe Horton) of Keremeos, B.C., Millie (Jim
Porteous) of Brockville, Ellie of Brentwood Bay, B.C., George
(Judy Denison) and Les (Marilyn Mackie) of Russell. She was the
dear grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She is survived by brother Lloyd Stinson (Marion Spratt) of Manotick.
She was predeceased by brothers Gordon and David.
She was born on Jan. 7, 1913 at Merivale. She was a long-time
member of St. Andrew's and St. Paul's United Church of Russell,
the North Russell Women's Institute, the Russell Horticultural
Society, and the Russell Agricultural Society.
Friends and family called at the Daley Family Funeral Home on
Jan. 23 and before the funeral, which took place in the funeral
home chapel today (Jan. 24) at 2 pm. Interment will take place
at North Russell Union Cemetery in the spring.
The family wishes to express its appreciation to the staff at
the Township of Osgoode Care Centre for their kindness and excellent
care for the past seven years. Donations can be made to the Care
Centre or St. Andrew's and St. Paul's United Church in Russell.
