Wilfred Lamoureux
Wilfred Lamoureux of Winchester passed away
peacefully at home after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's
and cancer on Nov. 2, 2007. He was 87.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Pierrette (nee Branchault)
and his children Jocelyn (Douglas) Smith of Winchester Springs,
Perry, Andrew, both of Winchester, and Colleen of Chesterville.
He was the brother of Alice Lewis, and was predeceased by five
brothers and five sisters. He was the companion to his dog Spike,
and his cat Minou.
He started working at the very young age of eight with his mother
and siblings on their dairy farm, where he grew up, after his
father passed away. He met his wife Pierrette of Casselman and
were married for 51 wonderful years. Together they lived and raised
their four children on the dairy farm. Wilfred and his sons worked
the farm together for many years until his illness made him unable
to continue.
He enjoyed family members and friends visiting him at home, sharing
laughs, stories, and wonderful memories.
The pallbearers were Brian Stobo; Matthew Clark; John, Dwayne
and Barry Cinnamon; and Richard Cayer. Morris Korevaar was an
honourary pallbearer.
Wilfred (Dad) may you finally rest in peace. You will always
be with us forever. Love Pierrette, Jocelyn and Douglas, Perry,
Andrew, and Colleen and Donald.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to Daniels Funeral Chapels
in Winchester.
