Glen Arthur Marriner

Glen Arthur Marriner of RR#1 South Mountain died at home on March 21, 2007. He was 58.
He was born on July 24, 1948 in South Mountain to the late Arthur Gerald Marriner and the late Lorna Agnes Valera Murdock. He was the husband of Deb (Garand) whom he married on July 25, 1970 at Roebuck United Church. He was the father of Krista, and Kyle (Joan). He was pappy to granddaughter Jaede Marriner. He was the brother of Judy Holmes (Don), Mary Ellen Moorhouse (Allan), and Susan Marriner (Ron). He will be remembered by the Garand family, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Glen worked as a truck driver for JED Express Ltd. He was a former Mountain Township firefighter, and a member of Mountain Trailblazers Snowmobile Club. He was a member of South Mountain United Church.
The funeral was held at South Mountain United Church on March 24 with Rev. Blair Paterson officiating, followed by cremation. The honourary pallbearers were George Brennan, Jeff Shirley Sr., David Holmes, Barry Moorhouse, Greg Moorhouse, and Eric Meunier.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to Byers Funeral Home in South Mountain.
