Audrey Morrow
Audrey Theresa Morrow (nee Eggens) passed away
Nov. 8, 2007 after a long and difficult battle with cancer.
She was born Feb. 3, 1933 to John and Gladys Eggens of Manotick
Station. She was the third eldest of eight children: Paul Turpin,
Bella Menard (Paul), Jack Eggens (Pat), Phyllis Sigouin (Gerald),
Lois Bumstead (Harold), Bill Eggens (Pat), and Susan Rosettani
(Joseph).
She was deaf as a child and did not hear until the use of a hearing
aid in her early teens. She persevered and managed to successfully
complete her studies at Willis Business College.
She was the loving mother of seven devoted children: David Mulligan
of South Mountain, Linda Mulligan (Keith Cartmell) of Calgary,
Kelly McKinnon (Bruce) of Brinston, Kim Morrow (Chris Kayuk)
of Ottawa, Angie Morrow (Donald Johnson) of Dixon's Corners, Gerald
Morrow (Karen) of Stampville, and Mary Morrow (Scott Kitson) of
Brockville. She was affectionately known as "Mom" to
Cheryl Graham of Mountain.
She had many hobbies including cross stitch, sewing, knitting,
crocheting, quilting, and gardening. Her love of the outdoors
and all things in it were very important to her. Her dog, Sport,
was her faithful and loving companion, always at her side. She
also loved to cook, and many people were welcomed to her happy
table over the years. She made friends easily and was known for
her happy smile, giving temperament, and thoughtful ways. Her
work at the Mayfield Retirement Home in Prescott introduced her
to Joanne and Pierrette, and they became affectionately known
as the "The Three Musketeers." She was an active member
of "The Mermaids," a swim group she joined whose members
quickly became dear, lifetime friends. She was resourceful, never
wasteful, and a strong conservationist. She believed in seeing
the good in everyone, and she had admirable qualities too numerous
to mention.
She is cherished by her 16 grandchildren: Donnie Johnson, Jason
McKinnon (Shelley), Johnnie Johnson (Joann), Jennifer Mulligan
(Christian Salmaso), Jimmy Johnson, Matthew McKinnon, Derrick
Johnson, Brooke Kitson, Zacchary Kayuk, Amber Morrow, Dillan Johnson,
Taylor Kitson, Kiersten Kayuk, Austin Morrow, Joshua Kayuk, and
Sarah Johnson. She is loved by two great-grandchildren Destiny
and Shianne.
She will always be remembered for her laughter and her smile.
The arrangements were entrusted to Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral
Home in Williamsburg.
