Gerald "Jed" Styles
Gerald "Jed" Styles of RR3 Williamsburg
passed away at home after an 8 month illness on Jan., 5, 2007.
He was 84.
He was born on May 21, 1922 in Williamsburg Township to the late
Roy Styles and the late Dora Styles (nee Bowman). He is survived
by his wife Georgina Styles (nee Meyer). He was the father of
Linda (Tom) Nixon of St. Albert, Alta., and Mary (Garry) Whitteker
of RR3 Williamsburg. He will be fondly remembered by grandchildren
Tricia, Paul, Tammy, Stacey, Shelley, Tracy, Kole, Ainsley, Cambrie,
Ryan, Samuel, Michael, Brooke, and Brandan, and by nieces and
nephews. He was predeceased by a brother George.
Jed, a lifetime resident of the area was a former dairy farmer,
and truck driver with the United Counties. He was a lifetime member
of Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Riverside Heights.
Friends called at Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in Williamsburg
on Jan. 7. The funeral was held on Jan. 8 at Holy Trinity Anglican
Church in Riverside Heights with Rev. Craig Bowers officiating.
Interment followed at St. Lawrence Valley Union Cemetery in Long
Sault. The pallbearers were Ray Lee, Dan McIntosh, John Walker,
Glenn Whitteker, Charlie Whitteker, and Raymond Van Moorsel.
Donations to Winchester District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated
by the family.
