Jean Margaret Acres

Jean Margaret Acres died of natural causes on Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, FL. She was 89.
She was born in Vernon to Dan Porteous and Janet (Campbell). She has resided in Stuart since 1979, having moved from Ticonderoga, NY. She was predeceased by her husband Gerald E. Acres in 1994.
She was a seamstress and gardener, and retired from the family farm in Madrid, NY, where she raised her three children.
She is survived by her son, Gary (Helen Condon) of Stuart, FL and Parishville, NY; daughters Connie Porteous (David) of Jensen Beach, Donna McGrath (Larry Turner) of Stuart, and her former daughter-in-law Jane (Rutheny) Acres of Jensen Beach. She was the grandmother of Aaron (Larissa Baker), Chad (Latoya Baker), Spencer (Claudia Bernegger), Laurie (Chris McCrory), and great-grandchildren Zack, Noah, Jake, Loretta, Jonah, and Hayln. She is also survived by her sister Mabel Walker of Winchester.
