Ben Archer

Ben Archer of South Mountain passed away Jan. 29, 2008 at Winchester District Memorial Hospital. He was 82.
He was born on Jan. 8, 1926 in Buckingham, Que., to the late Robert Archer and the late Elizabeth Walker. He was the husband of Audrey Bartraw, whom he married on April 15, 1944 in Ottawa. He is survived by his children Randy (Kendra), Brian (Lynn), Brenda Lacombe (Junior), Nancy Hahn (Bruce), Debbie Dorval (Meta), Stephen, Gerry (Angie), Karen Rossignol (Mike), and Jon. He was the grandfather of 26 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
Ben was the owner of Archers Garden Centre, and an engineer in the construction industry. He was a member of the Kemptville Royal Canadian Legion.
Visitation was held on Feb. 2 at Byers Funeral Home in South Mountain.
Donations to the Ontario Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
