Pearl Margaret Carkner

Pearl Margaret Carkner of Winchester passed away at Dundas Manor on Wed., May 28, 2008. She was in her 99th year.
Pearl was born in Mountain Township on April 5, 1910 to the late Henry Stoodley and Gertrude Acres.
She was married to the late Kenneth "Mac" Carkner and was the loving mother of Robert (Marion) of Winchester, Phyllis (late Carl) James of Perth, and the late William Carkner.
Pearl was the dearest grandmother of Rob, Terry, Brent, Monte, Mark, Burt, and Tracy and the great-grandmother of Morgan and Justin.
Family received friends at the Daniels Funeral Chapels in Winchester on Fri., May 30. The funeral service took place on Sat., May 31 at 10 am at Winchester United Church with Rev. Robert Williams officiating. Rev. Thurland and Lorraine Brown assisted with music.
Her grandchildren acted as pallbearers with interment in the family plot at Maple Ridge Cemetery.
