Douglas Alexander Powell Davidson

Douglas Alexander Powell Davidson passed away on April 11, 2008, peacefully, with dignity and in the company of a loving family through his last days. He was 96.
He was born in Winchester on December 31, 1911. He was the husband of the late Frances Robinson (1914-2001). He was the father of Brian (Suzanne), and Donald and the step-grandfather of Katy Swan (Rafal), and Mike Swan (Birgit). He was the brother of Joan McLean (Don) and was predeceased by his other siblings, Ruby (Harry), Eldon (Willis), and Charles (Ella).
Until his final days, Doug lived independently in his own Glebe home where he and Frances had moved in 1951, raised their family, and were a part of the community and Glebe-St. James United Church.
A memorial service will be held at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street in Ottawa on Friday, April 18 at 1 pm with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Glebe-St. James United Church or Ottawa Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
