Effie Margaret Monteith

Effie "Nan" Margaret Monteith (nee Larocque), formerly of South Mountain, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Brockville General Hospital on Wed., July 9, 2008. She was 88.
She was the loving wife of the late David Monteith who passed away in 1964. She was the cherished mother of Doug (Bonnie) of Mallorytown, and Sandra (David Elliott) Monteith of Chatham. She was the dear grandmother of Vicki (Peter) Lucier of Waubaushene, Sheri (Grant) Waldroff of Ingleside, Ian (Tara) Fairbairn of Morrisburg, Michael (Mariann) Monteith of Mallorytown, Billy Whitteker of Kelowna, BC, Jennifer (Charlie) Birtch of Mallorytown, and great-grandmother of eleven. She will be sadly missed by her sister Helen (Glen) Beaul of Chatham, and brothers Bert (Doreen) of Winchester, and Richard (Monique) of Morrisburg. She was predeceased by her daughter Carol Fairbairn; sisters Lila, Mabel, Edna Murdock, Elsie Chyzyk, and Nelda Jeacle; and brothers Carl and Gerald.
Friends were received at Parker Funeral Home in Morrisburg on July 14 before the service at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be held on Fri., July 18 at 11 am at Union Cemetery in South Mountain..
