Thomas Morton Stobo

Thomas Morton "Mort" Stobo of Cloverdale Road passed away peacefully at Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Sun., March 2, 2008. He was 99.
He was the husband of the late Jean Summers. He was the devoted father of Gordon of Winchester, Arnold (Grace) of Cardinal, Reginald (Deanna) of Kanata, Gail (Tom) Cousans of Picton, Brian (Francine) of Winchester, and the late Gerald. He will be fondly remembered by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He was dearly loved by his sisters Jean (the late Hugh) Porteous and Madeline Walsh. He was predeceased by two brothers Eldon and Harold, and two sisters Irene and Marguerite.
Family and friends paid their respects at the Daniels Funeral Chapels in Winchester on Tues., March 4 and on Wed., March 5 from 11 am to noon. The funeral service will be held in Winchester Wesleyan Church on Wed., March 5 at 2 pm with Rev. Thurland Brown and Rev. Allan Summers officiating. The pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Interment will be held in the spring at Springhill Cemetery in Metcalfe.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Winchester District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
