Lula E. Wagner
Lula E. Wagner (nee Thompson), formerly of
Morewood, passed away at Dundas Manor on Nov. 15, 2008. She was
84.
She was born on Sept. 19, 1924 in Russell Township to the late
Cecil Thompson and the late Bernice Bilow. She was the wife of
the late Calvin Wagner whom she married on Oct. 3, 1942 in Morewood.
She was the mother of Barbara (Ron) Armstrong, Mancel, Richard
(Carol), Keith, Elaine Wagner (Jamie), and was predeceased by
an infant son, Carl. She was the grandmother to Jeff (Tracy) Armstrong;
Derick, Mark and Stacey Wagner; Jeff Irven; Brandon Wagner; Jason
and Terry Wagner; and great-grandson Connor Armstrong. She was
the sister of Mac (Marjorie), Raymond (May), Iris (Glen) Cunningham,
Bevis (the late Gladys), and the late Gloria (Jack) Pickard. She
was the step-sister of Joan McLean (the late John), Lynn (Elsie)
Thompson, Lyle (Ruth) Thompson, Beverley (Norman) Welk, Freda
Kinsella (the late Glen), and Frank Thompson.
She was a homemaker, and a member of Morewood United Church.
The funeral was held in the chapel of the Byers Funeral Home in
South Mountain on Nov. 18 with Rev. MaryLou Shortill officiating.
Interment followed at Morewood United Church Cemetery.
The pallbearers were her grandchildren Jeff Armstrong, Derick,
Mark, and Stacey Wagner, Jeff Irven, Brandon Wagner, and Jason
and Terry Wagner.
