Marc Baldwin

David "Marc" Baldwin, a resident of the Williamsburg area for the past 28 years, passed away suddenly due to a massive heart attack on Fri., March 6, 2009. He was 44.
Marc was born in Winchester on April 4, 1964 to his parents, David and Judy Baldwin (nee Cinnamon).
From an early age Marc displayed a zest for life, especially for the many cars he owned. Marc also had an uncanny ability for fixing anything and everything. When someone needed something fixed Marc was always there to get it done. He loved animals and the farm. He had a small barn that his Grandpa Baldwin gave him. He kept his chickens, goats, rabbits, ducks, a horse, and even a pig that Mom didn't know about. Farming continued to be a passion of his as he later bought a farm on Tollgate Road. He owned a team of horses, Jacques and Pearl, which he hooked up to his buggy or sleigh and enjoyed rides through the country and town. He enjoyed working the land with his good friend "Whit".
Marc started working at Kehoe's garage in 1979 on weekends and summer holidays. He would pump gas, change tires, and help the mechanics (Bob Darrach and Dave MacIntosh). Brother Marty joined Marc and worked there for five years. Marc started his apprenticeship when he was 16 and completed it at age 21. He worked alongside Bob until 1985 when Bob took over the garage. Bob, Marc and Marty always played pranks on each other. There was never a dull moment there. In 1992 Marc started working at LMS Motors for Bill Smith. During his time there he met many customers that enjoyed his contagious smile, laugh, jokes, and great stories. Customers even travelled from Stittsville to have their cars repaired by only him. Five years later his sister Jaime came to work with him. They called themselves the pit crew. There was always someone dropping in at the garage just to say "hello".
Marc was a fun loving, caring person who lived everyday to its fullest. He had a nickname for everyone. Marc, Marty, and Rhonda were known as the three musketeers. Marc and Kurtis compared notes about their blue trucks (they certainly weren't Fords). Marc cherished his daughters. He loved his family with all his heart.
Marc is survived by his companion Jennifer Smades and her sons, Michael and Dominic, his daughters Brittany Baldwin, Marcie Baldwin, and Miranda Deschamps, his parents Judy Cinnamon (Reg Cayer) of Cornwall and Dave Baldwin (Barb Van Bridger) of South Mountain, and his siblings, Marty (Linda Prevost) of Mountain, Rhonda (Jerrold) Boulanger of Winchester, Jaime Baldwin of Williamsburg, and Kurtis Cayer of Cornwall. He was the maternal grandson of Myrna Cinnamon of Winchester, and paternal grandson of Jean Baldwin of Inkerman. Marc will be sadly missed by Nanny Judy. He was a dear uncle of Beau, Cashelle, Walker, Brodie, Cinnamon and Dakota.
Friends called at the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in Williamsburg on Mon., March 9. The funeral service was held at the funeral home on Tues., March 10 with Rev. Blair Patterson officiating, followed by interment at New Union Cemetery in Williamsburg. The pallbearers were Marty Baldwin, Bill Smith, Lyle Kehoe, Bob Darrach, Brian Whitteker, Hugh Garlough, Gord Ramsay, and Larry Whitteker.
