A. 'Grant' Burd

A. 'Grant' Burd of Limoges passed away at the St. Viateur Nursing Home in Limoges on Thurs., Oct. 22, 2009. He was 88.
He was the loving husband of Edith Burd (nee Ouderkirk), and the dear father of Ken (Nancy) and Audrey (William) Dillabough, both of Morewood. He will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Kendra, Duane, Robby, Scott, and Brent and six great-grandchildren. He was the dear brother-in-law of Dorothy Burd of Gloucester, Bruce McIntyre of Cornwall, Melvin (Jessie) Ouderkirk of Cornwall, Dalton (Janice) Ouderkirk of Finch, Betty Ouderkirk of Berwick, and Lyle Ouderkirk of Berwick. He was predeceased by brothers Earl and Allan, and sisters Evelyn Tupper, Elsie Van Allen, and Alice Rose Lang. He was also survived by nieces and nephews.
There was no visitation. A private family graveside funeral service was held at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Chesterville on Mon., Oct. 26 with Rev. Elaine Beattie officiating.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Marsden and McLaughlin Funeral Home in Williamsburg.
