Donald Carr

Donald "Don" Carr passed away suddenly at home on Thurs., Jan. 1, 2009. He was 76.
He was the dear husband of Colleen (nee Hutt), and father of Marilyn (Eric) Schwerdtfeger, Ronald, Wayne (Pam), and Glenn (Corrine). He will be greatly missed by his eight grandchildren, three great-grandsons, and his brother Earl. He was predeceased by his infant children Raymond and Margaret Ann, and his sister Doris.
Visitation was held on Sat., Jan. 3 followed by the funeral service at the Chesterville Funeral Home with Rev. Wendy Wright-MacKenzie of Trinity United Church officiating. Fay Hutt delivered a very moving eulogy. "Crystal Chandeliers" was a favourite dancing song of Don and Colleen's, and was played as part of the service, as was "Silver Threads and Golden Needles". Cremation has taken place.
Memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Winchester District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated.
