Noreen Fisher

Noreen Fisher (nee Porter) of Chesterville, formerly of Avonmore, passed away peacefully at her residence on Mon., May 18, 2009. She was 78.
She was the beloved wife of the late Harold Fisher. She was the loved mother of Carol Alguire of Cornwall, Judy Fisher of Chesterville, Kathryn Raymond (Allan) of Greenfield, Elizabeth St. Amande (John) of Thunder Bay, Harold of Toronto, John (Wanda) of Avonmore, and William (Laura) of Avonmore. She was the dear sister of Marie Pond of Miramichi, NB, Elizabeth Mersereau (Norris) of Texas, Mae Porter, Lillian Harris of Nevada, Leora Brunet (Gerald) of Alexandria, and Phillip Porter (Joyce) of Miramichi, NB.. She will be sadly missed by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Murray and Josephine (Brawn) Porter, and by one brother Lorenzo Porter (Maxine) of NB.
A private service in celebration of Noreen's life was held at Brownlee Funeral Homes in Finch on Thurs., May 21 with Rev. Douglas MacKay officiating, followed by interment at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
