Victor Ernest Johnston

Victor Ernest Johnston passed away on Fri., June 26, 2009 at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital. He was 97.
He was the dear husband on Myrtle Anna (nee Helmer), and the father of Ernest (Jeanette), Jean (Neil) Stewart, Freda Mae Procunier (Kim Cutter), and John (Bev). He was the grandfather of Brenda (Marshall) Hewitt, Terry (Colleen) Johnston, Bonnie (Clinton) Young, Sharon (Bill) Jones, James Stewart, Lynn Johnston, Tanya Procunier, Robbie (Natasha) Procunier, and Billy Procunier. He will be missed by his many great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his sister, Ruby Steele Lancaster, of Hamilton and dear sister-in-law Willow Johnston of Winchester. He is predeceased by sister Leila Robinson, brother Roy Johnston, and brothers-in-law Dalton Robinson, Vincent Steele, and Weldon Lancaster.
The family received friends at the Winchester Funeral Home on Sun., June 28. The funeral service was held in the chapel of the funeral home on Mon., June 29 with Rev. Floyd McPhee officiating, followed by interment at Hillcrest Cemetery in Newington.
