Helen Pauline Spearman
Helen Pauline Spearman (nee Holmes), entered
peacefully into God's Kingdom, with family by her side, at St.
Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Mon., April 13, 2009. She was
82.
Helen is once more with the love of her life, Ira Spearman, (deceased
in 2002). She will be held forever in the hearts of her family,
Douglas Spearman and his wife Marlene of Old Orchard Beach, Maine,
and Ronald Spearman and his wife Kim of St. Thomas. She was the
proud and loving grandmother of Amy, James (deceased in 2005),
Evie, Joel, and Joshua and great-grandchildren Cody, Micah, Hayley,
and Blake. She was the dear sister of Vivian Schultz of Pembroke,
Ida Fulsom of Ottawa, Edna McIntosh of Winchester, and brother
Ray Holmes of Winchester. She was predeceased by Adelia Holmes,
Jean Holmes, Reg Holmes, Stan Holmes, Doris Kennedy, and Lillian
Quart. She will be remembered by several nieces and nephews, and
a great many friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew
her.
Visitation was held at the Belleville Funeral Home and Chapel
on Fri., April 17. The service was held at the Wesleyan Church
in Belleville on Sat., April 18, with Rev. Mark Sullivan officiating,
followed by interment at Mount Evergreen Cemetery in Trenton.
Special thanks are extended to the staff of St. Thomas Elgin General
Hospital for their compassionate care.
