Geraldine Judy McSheffrey

Geraldine Judy McSheffrey "Gerry" (nee Lorbetskie) of Morrisburg passed away at Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Fri., Jan. 22, 2010. She was 63.
She was born on Jan. 20, 1947 in Wilno, Ont. to the late Edward Lorbetskie and Rosie Cashubec. She was the wife of William "Bill" McSheffrey whom she married on May 22, 1971 at St. Francis Xavier Church in Renfrew. She was the mother of Lorraine Tinsley (Tom), Jason (Megan), and Tracey Bertrand (Stéphane), and the grandmother of James and Melissa Tinsley, and Jillian McSheffrey. She was the sister of Irene Burchat (Bronis) and was predeceased by Patrick Lorbetskie. She will be fondly remembered by the McSheffrey family.
Formerly of Mountain, Geraldine was a housewife and homemaker, and was a high school graduate. She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church, the C.W.L. and Right to Life, and was a volunteer at Winchester District Memorial Hospital and the Canadian Cancer Society.
The funeral was held at St. Daniel Roman Catholic Church in South Mountain on Tues., Jan. 26 with Father Cosmas Ajawara officiating. The pallbearers were Jeff Garland, Carl Conradi, Brian Lorbetskie, Johnny Lorbetskie, Tim Lorbetskie, and Luella Garland.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Byers Funeral Home in South Mountain.
