Robert William Nelson

Bob Nelson of South Mountain passed away peacefully at home on Sun., March 14, 2010, in his 85th year.
He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Harrison). He was the loving Dad of Gail (Guy Lussier), Bonnie Nelson, the late George (Marion), Sherryl (Jeff Arcand), Margaret (Gerald Loughlin), and Suzanne Tousant (Jeff Boisvenue). He was the cherished grandpa of Jeremy (Jaye), Charmaine (Shawn); Kathryn, Mathew (Krista); Tracy (Andrew), Joey (Sarah), Jonathan (Jasmine); Stephanie (Casey), Brett (Jennifer); and great-grandchildren Rhiannon, Ashton, Landyn; Carter; Owen, Cassidy, and Tanner. He was the dear brother of Jack (Shirley), "Peggy" Margaret (Shep LaPorte), and was predeceased by Gerald and Allan. He was the beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews. A wonderful friend to all who crossed his path.
Visitation was held at Byers Funeral Home in South Mountain on Tues., March 16. The funeral will be held today, Wed., March 17 at 11 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Maitland.
By family request, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
