Marguerite (Peggie) Scharf

Marguerite (Peggie) Scharf passed away peacefully on Wed., Sept. 15th, 2010 at Winchester District Memorial Hospital.
She was married for over 60 years to the late Edward Scharf of Metcalfe. Peggie will be lovingly remembered by her children, Sandra (Bob) Weagant, Ken, George (Anastasia), and Darlene Scharf. She was an amazing Nana to Stacey, Wendy, Leslie (Andrew Pattemore), Paula (Mike Gordon), Johnathon, and Agatha. She was the very proud great-grandmother to Hannah Pattemore, her little carrot top.
Peggie Scharf was very involved in the Metcalfe community. She volunteered with the ACW, Home Support, and just received her lifetime service award for over 40 years service to the Women's Institute. In 1984, she received a volunteerism medal from the government of Ontario. Peggie will forever be remembered for her caring personality and warm smile. Her Irish blue eyes twinkled constantly.
Her wake was held at the Daley Family Funeral Home on Sun., Sept. 19 with funeral services held at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Metcalfe on Mon., Sept. 20.
