Corienne Elizabeth Wilson
Corienne Elizabeth Wilson (nee Hyndman) of Winchester passed away at home on June 20, 2010. She was 87.
She was born on May 19, 1923 in Mountain Township to the late Joseph Hyndman and Edna Blanche Lockerbie. She was the wife of the late William "Bill" Arnold Wilson, whom she married on Oct. 4, 1947 in Edmonton, Alta. She was the mother of Janet (the late Bob) Gibson, and the grandmother of Jennifer and Meghan Gibson; and William and Erin Joyce. She was the aunt of many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Margaret Hyndman, and by her son-in-law Michael Joyce. She was predeceased by her daughter, Donna, and by siblings Clare Hyndman, Lanson Hyndman, and Donna Simms.
Corienne graduated from Brockville General Hospital in 1944. She was formerly a Registered Nurse at Winchester District Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the United Church of Canada.
The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Byers Funeral Home in South Mountain on Wed., June 23 at 1 pm, with Rev. Wendy Wright-MacKenzie officiating. The pallbearers are Murray Hyndman; and Paul, Glenn, and Dale Simms. The honourary pallbearers are Jennifer and Meghan Gibson; and Bill and Erin Joyce.
